Cat.5 KVM Switches are hardware devices, which allow the user to control different devices from one single access point (for example by a LCD console). The number of controlable devices depends on the used KVM switch. The KVM switch with USB transports image signals and also control signals by PS/2 and USB. Another variation is the KVM switch with integrated IP module. With its IP interface the user is able to connect from all over the world to the system, realized by remote control.
